Notes
'Marion Pfeiffer' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Marion Pfeiffer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The tall plants produce many double red blooms with no trace of magenta or purple. The rose-type flowers have a spicy rose-geranium scent.
Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Polish Spirit clematis, and Royal fern.
