Notes

'Marjorie Horrell' peony (Paeonia 'Marjorie Horrell') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, bright pink blooms have a rose center, smell fragrant, and attract bees and butterflies. William S. Bockstoce bred it from an officinalis and lactiflora cross. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with June hosta, PowWow White coneflower, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Polish Spirit clematis.
