Notes
Marsh woundwort (Stachys palustris) is a perennial for pollinator gardens and low maintenance plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and moist soil of most types. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and has dark green leaves. Purple flowers appear in mid to late spring, early to late summer, and early to late autumn. Bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Southern blue flag, and Canada wild rye.
