Notes

'Silky Fleece' lamb’s ear (Stachys byzantina 'Silky Fleece') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a low, clumping mound that stays evergreen. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bees and butterflies visit the lavender blooms.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Blue fescue, and Purple Coneflower coneflower.
