Notes

'Martha W.' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Martha W.') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears single, light pink blooms from early to late spring. Many stiff stems carry the flowers. Carroll F. Spangler bred it, and it is a proven seed parent for Itoh hybrids.

Pairs well with Smooth hydrangea, Cinnamon fern, and Stargazer lily.
