Notes

'Mary C. Hoard' peony (Paeonia 'Mary C. Hoard') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Semi-double deep pink blooms have white flares on the inner petals. Roger F. Anderson bred it, and butterflies and bees visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Spotted beebalm.
