Notes

'Mary Jo' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mary Jo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Athrop bred it. The double flowers open in late spring in soft rose and ivory. Golden stamens give each bloom an orange cast, and the plant blooms freely above good foliage.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Black Hero tulip, and Fragrant sumac.
