Notes
'Matthew Saul' coneflower (Echinacea 'Matthew Saul') is a perennial that grows 24 to 30 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. Golden yellow rays surround an orange center cone from early to late summer. Deer tend to browse other plants first. The flowers are fragrant, and the plant tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Compass plant, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Maiden pink.
