Notes
'Maxim' strawberry (Fragaria ananassa 'Maxim') is a fruit for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. White flowers open from late spring to early summer, and the plant stays 3 to 6 inches tall. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Give it a spot at the front of the bed.
Pairs well with Salad burnet, Ellagance Purple lavender, and Bosc pear.
