Notes

'Maximus Glorious' peony (Paeonia 'Maximus Glorious') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Large double flowers open light pink with red flares and age to yellow, and they have a mild, pleasant fragrance. Donald Robert Smith bred it.

Pairs well with Patriot hosta, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Switchgrass, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
