Notes

'Maxine Palmer' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Maxine Palmer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The rose type blooms open with a faint pink tinge and age to white. A yellow glow shows at the base of the petalodes. Stiff stems hold up the flowers over dark green foliage.

Pairs well with Lupine, Prairie dropseed, and Christmas fern.
