Notes

'May Davidson' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'May Davidson') is a perennial for borders and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, flat, single blooms are pale pink with lilac shading and silver tips around yellow stamens. The fragrant flowers open in early summer on tall, strong stems with dark green leaves. Rev. Charles Simmons Harrison bred it.

Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Royal fern, and Blanket flower.
