Notes

'May Magic' peony (Paeonia 'May Magic') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, bright scarlet red flowers attract bees and butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Patriot hosta, White Swan coneflower, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
