Notes
'May Treat' peony (Paeonia 'May Treat') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears large, fragrant, pale pink single blooms with coral-pink highlights, and bees and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. William Henry Krekler bred it.
Pairs well with Blue Mouse Ears hosta, Nodding onion, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
