Notes
'Meffen Gold' Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris 'Meffen Gold') is a tree for specimen planting, accents, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The columnar evergreen grows at a rapid rate and has fragrant needles. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Birds also visit the tree.
Pairs well with Emerald Pink moss phlox, Red fescue, and Scentara Pura lilac.
