Notes

'Melrose' rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Melrose') is a shrub for hedges and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil. It grows fast with an erect shape, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the summer blooms. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Big bluestem, Blueberry, and Mexican sunflower.
