Notes

'Melrose' rose (Rosa 'Melrose') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Deep pink blooms are fragrant and open in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Patrick Dickson bred it in 1962.

Pairs well with Garden phlox, Royal Purple smoketree, Niobe clematis, and Ornamental onion.
