Notes

'Merkur' gladiolus (Gladiolus 'Merkur') is a bulb for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy soil. Its red flowers are fragrant and bloom from early to late summer and again from early to late autumn. Bees visit the blooms, and you can cut stems to enjoy the scent indoors. Bohemia Bulbs bred it.

Pairs well with Hummingbird's mint, Autumn fern, and Stock.
