Notes

'Mermaid' peony (Paeonia 'Mermaid') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, single flowers are palest lavender and fragrant, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Nodding onion, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
