Mesog American holly

Garden uses

Notes

'Mesog' American holly (Ilex 'Mesog') is an evergreen shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. White flowers open in mid to late spring. The shrub keeps its leaves all year, so it screens a space in every season. Its tall, wide shape fills a hedge row well.

Pairs well with Purple Pillar rose of sharon, Festiva Maxima peony, and Eden rose.
