Notes

'Mildred May' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mildred May') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The pure white, semi-double blooms have a yellow center and a charming arrangement of petals and stamens. The plant is not large, but its branching is perfect. Arthur L. Murawska bred it.

Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Lanceleaf coreopsis, and Cinnamon fern.
