'Milestone' tulip (Tulipa 'Milestone') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The flowers open in early to late spring on stems about 26 inches tall. The outside of each bloom is currant red with lighter edges. Inside it is turkey red with a greenish yellow base and black anthers.

Pairs well with Thalia daffodil, Black Beauty peony, Ernest Markham clematis, and Little bluestem.
