Notes

'Min Sing Tang' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Min Sing Tang') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep rose pink blooms have twisted staminodes that look like a shaggy chrysanthemum. The petals fall, but the staminodes stay on the stem with charming effect. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it in 1943.

Pairs well with Curly Fries hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Prairie Sun rudbeckia.
