Notes

Missouri coneflower (Rudbeckia missouriensis) is a perennial for borders, low maintenance gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Orange and yellow blooms open in early to late summer and attract butterflies and bees. The plant tolerates drought once settled in.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Blue grama, and Lemon thyme.
