Notes
'Misty Blue' white baneberry (Actaea pachypoda 'Misty Blue') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland gardens, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Small clusters of fragrant white flowers rise above powder blue foliage in early summer. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. White fruit with a black dot ripens on red stems by autumn.
Pairs well with Jack in the pulpit, Blue wood aster, and Red elderberry.
