Notes

'Moerloosei' flowering quince (Chaenomeles speciosa 'Moerloosei') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It blooms in spring and sometimes in winter, and the flowers are fragrant. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit it. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Shasta daisy, Beautyberry, and Ornamental onion.
