Notes

'Molly Pitcher' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Molly Pitcher') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1941. The large double blooms open pale flesh and age to white, with a rose fragrance. It grows on a dwarf plant and blooms in late spring to early summer.

Pairs well with Catnip, Charles Joly lilac, Carlton daffodil, and Sensitive fern.
