Notes

'Monore' lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'Monore') is a shrub for cut flowers, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It blooms in early to late spring with fragrant flowers that draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Big Daddy hosta.
