Notes

'Columbus' montbretia (Crocosmia crocosmiiflora 'Columbus') is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It blooms from early to late summer, and hummingbirds and butterflies visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Jac. M. van Dijk bred it.

Pairs well with Rubinglow coneflower, Russian sage, and Monch tartarian aster.
