Notes

'Emily Mckenzie' montbretia (Crocosmia crocosmiiflora 'Emily Mckenzie') is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Orange flowers appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Tubergen introduced it.

Pairs well with Anzac daylily, Yarrow, and Black-eyed Susan.
