Notes

'Monte Carlo' tulip (Tulipa 'Monte Carlo') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The yellow flowers are fragrant and open from early to late spring. Plants stand about 12 inches tall, so they fit well at the front of a bed.

Pairs well with Woodstock common hyacinth, Jack Snipe daffodil, Armenian grape hyacinth, and Mondial tulip.
