Notes

'Woodstock' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Woodstock') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant maroon-purple flowers open from early to late spring and attract bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Plants stay 4 to 8 inches tall, so you can tuck them near the front of a bed.

Pairs well with Greig's tulip, Heather, and Red Charm peony.
