Notes

'Monte Rosa' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Monte Rosa') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its sweet pink double flowers are fragrant and open in late spring. The plant reaches about 120 cm (47") tall, and the heavy buds need support to keep the stems upright.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Blue sage.
