Notes
'Moonlight Sonata' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Moonlight Sonata') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms in mid to late spring with fragrant, white, semi-double flowers about 5¾ inches across. Plants grow up to 30 inches tall with a slightly spreading habit, so give each one some room.
Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Garlic chives, and Little bluestem.
