Notes
'Morning Mist' peony (Paeonia 'Morning Mist') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The cream flowers have a dark purple center with black flares and open in early to late spring. Butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Big bluestem, Jackmanii clematis, and Sweet William.
