Notes

'Morocco' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Morocco') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears full double red blooms on tall, stiff stems that stand upright. The flowers open early in spring and the plant grows with vigor. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Black Hero tulip, and Limeglow creeping juniper.
