Notes

'Mount Baker' lilac (Syringa hyacinthiflora 'Mount Baker') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Fragrant blooms open in early to late spring and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Plant it near a path or patio, where you can enjoy the scent.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Hardy geranium, Red Riding Hood tulip, and Royal fern.
