Notes

'Music Man' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Music Man') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Gilbert H. Wild & Son bred it in 1967. The red blooms have large outer petals and a center of smaller, slightly twisted petals. Strong stems hold the flowers well in a vase.

Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Prairie Sun rudbeckia, and Sedge.
