Notes

'Mutsu' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mutsu') is a perennial for borders, cut flower arrangements, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The pink flowers have a Japanese type form. You can cut the blooms for bouquets and bring the pink color indoors. A. B. Crawford bred it.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Switchgrass, and Garlic chives.
