Notes

'Myrick' peony (Paeonia 'Myrick') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It bears double, red, medium size flowers that are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Moonshine yarrow, Nodding onion, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
