Notes

'Nanki-Poo' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Nanki-Poo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers have a Japanese form, with curving pink petals and creamy staminodes. Miss Mary Eliza Blacklock bred it, and it draws plenty of attention.

Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, White Swan coneflower, and Nodding onion.
