Notes
'Necromancer' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Necromancer') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Double magenta flowers have notched petals and a light fragrance. The foliage and stems start out black-red, and the stems keep their dark color all summer. Nate Bremer bred it.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Sedge, and Blue grama.
