Notes

'Nelson' blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum 'Nelson') is a shrub for hedges, food gardens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 4 to 6 feet tall and wide with an erect habit. White flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees, butterflies, and birds. The leaves also turn color in fall.

Pairs well with Black chokeberry, Serviceberry, Big bluestem, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
