Notes

'Nereid' peony (Paeonia 'Nereid') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Light yellow, semi-double flowers with silvery edges open in early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Prof. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1949.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Susan magnolia, and The President clematis.
