Notes

Nettleleaf sage (Salvia urticifolia) is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and woodland plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It bears white, blue, or purple flowers in spring and again in summer. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms, and the leaves look like those of nettle.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Lady fern, and Oakleaf hydrangea.
