Notes

'New Era' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'New Era') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The white flowers have rounded guard petals with a large, full center that rises and expands as the bloom opens. The stems are stiff and the plant grows tall and upright. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Hairy aster, and Sedge.
