Notes

'New Year' rose (Rosa 'New Year') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The upright plant bears fragrant orange blooms in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers, and the dark green leaves set off the color. Samuel Darragh bred it in 1983.

Pairs well with Butterfly bush, Sweet William, Greig's tulip, and Clematis.
