Notes

'Nilitz' peony (Paeonia 'Nilitz') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant peach flowers are semi-double and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Prof. Harald Fawkner bred it, and the low plants have durable foliage.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Nodding onion, and Polish Spirit clematis.
