Notes

'Nimbus' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Nimbus') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its rose type blooms are white and deepen to a pale blush buff at the center. The calyx and outer petals look greenish. Darwin M. Andrews bred it, and it is a strong, erect, free bloomer.

Pairs well with Swamp milkweed, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
