Notes

'Nong Yuan Hong Zhuang' peony (Paeonia 'Nong Yuan Hong Zhuang') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The single flowers have yellow petals overlaid with red, which gives an orange effect. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Blooms open in early to late spring and attract butterflies.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Blue Arrow Rocky mountain juniper, and Cornflower.
